*Really spoiler-y notes about the movie* I'm sure you've read the book but if you'd rather not know what they did and didn't include in the film before you see it, stop reading!
I feel cheated. Like he tricked me into watching the whole boring, heavily adjusted film adaptation with the promise of some big payoff in the end and it never came. I could have sworn a whole battle took place between some of the staff and students and the Death Eaters as they were trying to get in or out of the tower before or after Dumbledore dies. Am I crazy? I'll have to go back and check but yeah, in the film it was just like, he's dead. That's the end. The scene wasn't as powerful as I had hoped it would be.
(Stop me if I'm getting my years mixed up) They left out the Gaunt family flashback and the story behind the cave. I thought those were kind of important scenes as well, I mean... if you had not read the book then how were you to know why Dumbledore needed the ring and where he found it and also why he knew the cave was of any significance to Voldemort?
It was really great to look at, though. Excellent angles (most of the time). And the kid who played medium Tom Riddle in Slughorn's tampered-with memory was gooood. So creepy. Daniel Radcliffe just keeps getting better too. Yeah, I don't have any qualms with the performances. Even Emma Watson seems to have finally shaken that "tsk"-y tic of hers.
EDIT EDIT: Jesus, this is why I should always keep my mouth shut until I've had the chance to mull on a film for a bit.
I've decided I like the direction he's taking the series in. I think he's got the right idea. I like that he's going less children's fantasy and more real life drama. My first reaction to every adapted work is WHY ISN'T IT LIKE THE BOOK!?!? But honestly, who wants an EXACT interpretation? Do whatever you want with the series, I don't fucking care anymore. Just don't leave "The Prince's Tale" out of The Deathly Hallows or I'll fucking kill you. That HAS to stay.
Dunno why I expected so much from the film anyway. HBP is one of my least favorite books from the series.

- yesterday was decent, even if ron jeremy thought i was checkin' him out and totally rolled his eyes at me. o sucketh on my balls, rj. do not want u in me ever. he drives a beat ass car, too.
- shane west saw us freak out when we spotted him from our car and he smiled and laughed and was really adorable. shane west drives a mercedes and is beautiful. do want him in me 4ever and ever and ever.
- sprinkles cupcakes in beverly was pewp again. lunch was double pewp pewp.
- tried stalking my favorite director. got lost in his really narrow, winding, deathtrap of a neighborhood in the hollywood hills.
- then the griffith observatory.
- then a short hike through griffith park. by short i mean, walked ten feet from the car then walked back. met a monk. he showed me where to go potty.
- then to mc donald's. it has a fancy new coffee-drinker lounge in it. watched larry king live on the flat screen. eated moar pewpcake. i haven't been inside a mc donald's in yearrrsss so i felt this was worth noting. it has a WATERFALL in it.
- then the end.

seeing terminator salvation tonight at midnight.
i've an interview at macy's tomorrow afternoon. i'm 99.9% sure i'll be hired on friday (i've been referred by two employees, i'm the only one interviewing for the job and they are desperate enough to take me on).

Yo mama's so lupine, she went to Alberta and was trapped for her pelt; but she gnawed her leg off and got away. Now she looks back at the experience with a hearty smile. Or is that a grimace? Whatever, she probably can't even tell what we're talking about.
Yo mama is very lupine, and although she is often mistaken for a Mexican gray wolf, or Canis lupus baileyi, I know that she is actually a red wolf, or Canis rufus, because she is smaller than the gray wolf (her head is narrower, also) and because one time I saw her interbreeding with a coyote.
